Bringing up a new puppy is an exciting time – but there are lots of questions:
- How much do you feed?
- What is the best way to train?
- What about worms and fleas?
Included in our initial vaccination course is a year of monthly checks with our friendly team of vets and nurses. We will monitor your puppy’s growth, advise on the best feeding regime, make sure fleas and worms are prevented and much more.
During your first appointments we will give you a free puppy pack including 2 puppy training manuals, 4 weeks free insurance, a clicker training aid, treats and other information leaflets.
Our puppies love coming in and get to know us really well, in a safe friendly environment. Call our reception team on 01242 522429 to find out more.
Good dental hygiene has an important effect on your pet’s health – and makes pets more pleasant to live with.
If you have concerns or your pet’s breath leaves a little to be desired, then why not take advantage of one of our free dental hygiene sessions? Cat and dog owners are welcome to pop in with their pets, at least every six months, for a check.
Our nurse-led dental clinics will provide you with the latest advice in keeping your pet’s teeth clean and healthy. If they highlight a need for a dental procedure we can organise this for you.
Rabbits – many people do not realise that rabbits have continuously growing teeth. As your rabbit chews, the teeth wear down – but sometimes they become misaligned or fail to wear down as they should, causing problems for your pet.
Obesity in pets of all kinds is a problem that cannot be ignored. Overweight animals are more susceptible to serious conditions such as arthritis, heart disease and diabetes, so it is important to check your pet’s weight on a regular basis.
Sometimes you may not even realise that your animal has begun to pile on the pounds because of the extra titbits they have been eating or because they are not getting as much exercise as they used to.
Book a free appointment with one of our nurses and they will advise you on the optimum weight for your pet and, if needs be, provide you with a bespoke diet and exercise programme for your pet.

Post Neutering Checks
Once your pet has been neutered we recommend you to get your pet checked over by one of our experienced nurses.
They will check the pet’s wound and advise you on exercise, feeding and weight management, as well as explaining the effect that neutering can have on your pet’s metabolism.

Flea, Parasite and Worming Checks
Your pet needs to be constantly protected against fleas and with so many products on the market it is difficult for owners to know which treatments are most effective.
Our nurses are experts in advising pet owners on how to prevent their animals (and houses!) becoming infested with fleas and which are the best products to use. They can offer you free advice at their drop-in clinics.
We have teamed up with Drontal to offer a free worming reminder for your pets.
Of course the easiest and most cost effective way to make sure you have the latest recommended products is to join our Pet Care Plan.
